Vivienne has started primary school! She looked so grown up and happily trotted off into her first day, she’s amazing and takes so much in her stride. She’s such a wonderful little girl, we are endlessly proud..
Yes, it’s been ridiculously quiet on here for nearly two months.. Here’s what’s been going on. .
We left Middlesbrough (finally) and the house we had lived in for two and a half years.. we were ready to leave but Vivienne grew up quite a lot here, she was only around 20 months old when we moved in.. time flies.
Moving obviously meant a hell of a lot of packing.. and unpacking.. or not unpacking and just dumping everything in the appropriate room and hope the removal fairy would come along.. She didn’t. It tooks us about three weeks to unpack 2/3 of the house.. We still haven’t finished. We also had a lot of driving up and down the A1, stolen moments with family, not seeing Vivienne enough but loving the fact that she had so much family around to give her a great Summer holidays while Dav and I took the brunt of the transition.
We are slowly getting there.. our room looked this tidy for all of an hour.. But you get the idea.
We now have a kitchen big enough to properly bake in! And David was able to make a cup of tea without one of us falling over the other. Viv and I decided to make Pretzels, after loving them in the city centre, and homemade pizza. Dav was finishing up his dissertation at this point.. Vivienne loves her new room.. and her birthday Sylvanian Family hotel. We love seeing her this happy. We also love the view from the attic.. Vivienne turned four! More on this soon.. Here she is at Mum’s having a birthday breakfast in the sunshine. We came home just long enough to throw her a soft play birthday party with her nursery friends.. best cake ever. Vivienne turning four made us recall these sorts of moments..Which kind of still happen every so often..We went to a wedding..
And it was Albert’s Christening..I worked in possibly the worst job ever.. we still don’t know how this story will end. Meeting the dino was a highlight. And the sun sets every night on a happy, but exhausted family. I’m so excited for our new life here..
Last Friday it was Red Nose Day, meaning Vivienne went to nursery in her PJ’s (I dropped her off feeling like a slummy mummy for the day..) and afterwards we all visited good old Fellini’s for cousin Beatrice’s 2nd birthday. Vivienne loved writing out Bea’s birthday card.. and I loved filming it. She gets a little upset from time to time because she can’t read and write yet, but her pretend writing is pretty cute in the meantime..
